Roadshow Paves the Way for Bharat Tex 2024 – India’s Mega Textile Expo in Bhilwara

Bhilwara: A dynamic roadshow unfolded at the Hotel Imperial Prime Clark’s Inns and Suites, Bhilwara, today, casting a spotlight on Bharat Tex 2024 – India's most extensive textile exposition. Organized by a consortium of 11 Textile Export Promotion Councils and bolstered by the Ministry of Textiles, the roadshow aimed to stoke excitement for Bharat Tex 2024, scheduled from February 26th to 29th, 2024, at the State of the Art Exhibition Complex – “Bharat Mandapam” and “Yashobhoomi” in New Delhi, India.

The event served as a vibrant showcase of India's textile industry, encompassing the entire textile value chain. With key stakeholders in attendance, the roadshow triumphantly built anticipation and awareness for Bharat Tex 2024, providing the textile community with insights into the myriad opportunities the event promises.

Among the distinguished guests were Smt. Shubhra, Trade Advisor, Ministry of Textiles; Mr. Anil Kumar, Director, Infrastructure, Ministry of Textiles; Mr. Dinesh Nolkha, Vice Chairman, CITI; Mr. Brij Mohan Sharma, Chairman, Mewar Chamber of Commerce & Industry; Dr. S N Modani, Chairman, Rajasthan Textile Mills Association; Mr. Vippul Jani, Additional Commissioner, Industries and Commerce Department, Govt. of Rajasthan; Mr. Rahul Dev, General Manager, Industries and Commerce Department, Govt. of Rajasthan; Dr. Siddhartha Rajagopal, Executive Director – TEXPROCIL; Mr. Rajesh Rawat, Addl. Executive Director, EPCH, along with over 100 Bhilwara industrialists.

Dr. Siddhartha Rajagopal, Executive Director – TEXPROCIL, extended a warm welcome to the guests, articulating the objectives of the roadshow and urging Bhilwara's industry to actively engage in Bharat Tex 2024.

Smt. Shubhra, Trade Advisor, Ministry of Textiles, underscored the fair's significance, shedding light on the 5F vision of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India. She presented the Mega Textiles fair as a monumental celebration of Indian textiles in New Delhi, envisioning 3500 exhibitors showcasing the entire textile journey from Farm to Fibre to Factory to Fashion to Foreign. The mega event anticipates drawing over 3000 overseas buyers and 40000 trade visitors during the four days, hosted at “Bharat Mandapam” and “Yashobhoomi.” She extended an invitation to the industry to showcase their prowess on this global stage.

Dr. S. N. Modani, Chairman, Rajasthan Textile Mills Association, appealed for additional support under the Production Linked Incentive Scheme for Bhilwara entrepreneurs. He assured wholehearted backing from Bhilwara exporters for the Bharat Tex mega fair, aspiring to elevate textile exports from the city.

Mr. Brij Mohan Sharma, Chairman, Mewar Chamber of Commerce & Industry, emphasized leveraging the China plus one policy and implored the ministry to take steps towards promoting exports from Bhilwara.

Mr. Anil Kumar, Director, Infrastructure, Ministry of Textiles, detailed various initiatives undertaken by the Ministry to fortify textile sector infrastructure.

Shri Rajesh Rawat, Addl Executive Director, EPCH, delivered a vote of thanks to all dignitaries and industrialists present at the roadshow.

Bharat Tex 2024 stands poised as a game-changer, converging industry leaders, designers, delegates, buyers, and global textile enthusiasts to celebrate India's vibrant textile sector. Anchored in innovation, sustainability, and global collaboration, the expo aspires to propel India to the forefront of the international textile market. With its strategic focus, Bharat Tex 2024 promises to reshape the landscape of the Indian textile industry, fostering growth and global recognition.
