Udaipur:  JSG Blood Donation Helpline started eight years ago to provide immediate blood to the needy, has so far offered blood to about 3,500 people.
On the occasion of World Blood Donation Day, the founder president of JSG Blood Donation Help Line, RC Mehta, said that no such institution was functioning before 2012 when the patients admitted to the hospital in Udaipur city needed blood. All the organizations used to organize blood donation camps, but such admitted patients did not come forward for any help at the time of need. Due to the non-availability of a blood donor to such patients, these patients were agitated. In view of this problem, JSG Blood Donation Help Line was established by connecting the donors with a new line of help to Udaipur city for arranging on-call blood.
Mehta informed that through this institution, the foundation of the first helpline of Udaipur city was laid eight years ago on April 1, 2012, Its inauguration was inaugurated by Dr. Narendra Mogra, in-charge of RNT Blood Bank and blood donation in Jindal Suri Auditorium in the presence of dignitaries and blood donors. 
He said that from 2012 till today, more than 3,500 needy admitted patients had been provided with on-call blood donation. In order to connect the blood donors, blood donation camps have been organized everywhere in the city, and aware of more than 2000 blood donors have been filled with pledge letters. The data bank of more than 2000 blood donors of the city is ready; they are called from time to time and are given blood donations. Today, this institution is committed to arranging blood for the patients of the city throughout India. In Udaipur, this institution has the distinction of donating 552 units of blood on the same day under one roof. No one has touched this figure yet. Mehta said that the institution had received honors at the district level, state level and national level in the service sector of blood for this charitable work.
