Annual Program of Rajasthan Pensioners Society in Kota

Kota: The annual program of the Rajasthan Pensioners Society in Kota witnessed the presence of Chief Guest Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. He emphasized the importance of every individual contributing to Prime Minister's vision of a prosperous India. Birla urged pensioners to channel their energy, enthusiasm, and strength to contribute to the development of the state and the country, much like they served during their active years in times of crises and emergencies.
Birla highlighted the foundational importance of India's democracy, which rests on the impartial electoral system. He acknowledged the crucial role played by employees at all levels in the electoral process.
Speaking about development, Birla emphasized the need for communication and basic infrastructure. He noted the significant role played by express highways in reducing distances and contributing to the country's economy. Birla announced the commencement of air services in Kota soon, connecting the city to various parts of the country.
Assuring support in resolving pensioners' issues, Birla suggested the construction of a new Pension Bhavan in Kota.
Prominent attendees included Kota South MLA Sandeep Sharma, State President Manohar, Secretary J.P. Meena, and Kota Branch President Ramesh Gupta, among others.
The event featured the lighting of lamps by dignitaries, and special recognition was given to pensioners who have crossed the age of 80, with a centenarian, Prabhu Lal Sharma, being honored. Pensioners excelling in various fields were also recognized for their outstanding contributions. Representatives from the state and district levels, along with a large number of pensioners, participated in the event.
