Our Udaipur is also known worldwide for a destination wedding, which is why many national and international stars have organized their important auspicious events on this land. Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon's wedding in April 2004 and Isha Ambani's daughter of industrialist Mukesh Ambani in December 2018 had pre-wedding celebrations in Udaipur. Many marriages between industry and the Bollywood world have happened in Udaipur. Similarly, looking at significant events, political personalities from all over the country reached here in May 2022 for a three-day Chintan Shivir. Our Udaipur has witnessed many international and national conferences in medicine and Education, while many Bollywood movies have also been shot in Udaipur.

Durbar Hall has been witness to many important moments.
According to former royal family member Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, the focal point of the G-20 Sherpa meeting, the Durbar Hall located at Fateh Prakash of the City Palace has been witness to many national and international activities and meaningful moments. In the year 1909, on the invitation of Maharana Sir Fateh Singh Bahadur, the then Viceroy and Governor General of India, Lord Minto arrived in Udaipur. On November 3, 1909, Lord Minto laid the foundation stone of the Durbar Hall on the eastern bank of Lake Pichola. For half a century after that historic day in 1909, Durbar sessions of the Mewar state were held in the Durbar Hall. Performances were given by famous artists of classical music in the Durbar Hall, while receptions were born in this hall for people belonging to the royal family and famous personalities. Similarly, several conferences were organized by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam in Durbar Hall in connection with nuclear development. In 1962, Jacqueline Kennedy, wife of the then US President John F. Kennedy, arrived in Durbar Hall.

The Fateh Prakash Convention Center witnessed the first Prime Minister of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, 's visit to Udaipur in 1948. On April 18, 1948, Udaipur and Mewar states merged into United Rajasthan, and Mewar state signed the letter of accession to the Union of India. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru administered the oath of the Maharaja Pramukh of Rajputana to Maharaja Bhupal Singh.
According to historical references, on January 14, 1949, Fateh Prakash Palace witnessed the arrival of the then Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. It was here that United Rajasthan was reconstituted.
