Apollo Hospitals hosts the International Pediatric Gastroenterology and Hepatology School

Udaipur: IndraprasthaApollo hospital is hosting 5 days of academic activities in pediatric gastroenterology and hepatology at a scale which has not been seen before in India. Starting with the first successful pediatric liver transplant in India in 1998, Apollo Hospitals has been a pioneer in the field of pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition. Apollo hospitals has performed 3431 liver transplants of which 341 have been in children, the most in not just India but the region. The first recipient of pediatric liver transplantation in 1998 is now 22 years old and leading a normal life. He is now a 4thyear medical student. The second recipient has completed the 20 years following a transplant and is now an accountant in Canada.
