President Kovind presents prestigious Colours to Army Aviation Corps

President Ram Nath Kovind today presented the prestigious President's Colours to the Army Aviation Corps in Nashik. Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshiyari, Chief of Army Staff General Bipin Rawat and other senior officers of Army, Navy and Air Force were present on the occasion. The ceremony also saw march past by the soldiers of the Army Aviation Corps and fly past which enthralled the audience.

AIR correspondent reports that it was a colourful display at the Combat Army Aviation Training School in Nashik where President's Colours were presented to the Army Aviation Corps by President Ram Nath Kovind who is also the supreme commander of armed forces.

 The President, who spoke volumes about the distinguished service rendered by the AAC, said the steadfastness by tCorps has won them the Battle title ‘Kargil’ in ‘Operation Vijay’ in 1999. The President ,while hailing the service of the AAC , further said the personnel in the Corps have been excellent ambassadors of India while operating overseas in countries like Somalia and the Democratic Republic of Congo, while on United Nations Peace Keeping Missions. The President said the AAC has been a true force multipliers in some of the most inhospitable terrain and adverse climatic conditions in the world.
