Udaipur : 15th convocation of Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology Udaipur, concluded in a dignified manner on Monday. Chancellor and Governor Rajasthan Kalraj Mishra presided over the convocation. At the beginning of the function, the Governor administered the oath of the Constitution to the students, guests, and parents present. The special guest of the convocation program, Shri Lal Chand Kataria, Minister of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Department, Government of Rajasthan, gave his address, and Dr. Durg Singh Chouhan, former Vice-Chancellor Dr. APJ. Kalam Technical University, Lucknow delivered the convocation address.

The Chancellor and Governor Shri Kalraj Mishra bowed to Veer Shiromani Maharana Pratap, describing him as the first freedom fighter who fought for the motherland. He said that the convocation ceremony is a festival for the students to enter a new life so that they are ready to use their acquired knowledge in the interest of society and the nation. He extended his best wishes to all the medal winners and degree recipient students on this occasion. The Governor said that university education should aim to eliminate every level of ignorance. The education that takes us from darkness to light has meaning. He said that I believe that changes can be made in society on a huge scale through agriculture and technology. Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology is doing this work very well. This university has secured the first position in the state and 15th in the entire country in the Indian Council of Agricultural Research ranking. It has maintained its excellence level by obtaining certification for five years. For this, he congratulated the Vice-Chancellor of the University and the entire family.
He said that specialist courses and collaborative research should be started in the agro-technical field with the context of time so that the youth could face the global and environmental protection challenges of the agriculture sector.

Vice-Chancellor Dr. Narendra Singh Rathore presented the university report. He said that the university completed the courses by organizing 11-12 thousand online classes per semester with the efficient use of technology during the Corona period. Due to this, the university has developed its online examination system without any additional burden on the exchequer. The university has also done the critical work of creating more than 400 e-manuals and e-compendiums to reach the subject matter to the students at the time of lockdown. In the National Education Policy 2020, there was more emphasis on a technology-based blended education system, which will pave the way for the success of the new education policy.
He said that from this academic session itself, many improvements had been made in the quality of the degree certificate. It will be prepared on high-quality, non-removable, waterproof, and A-4 size paper. Many security features have also been adopted in the degree. Many security measures have also been taken on the degree printed in both Hindi and English language, color photograph of the student, QR code, etc.
 
He said that to bring dynamism to the university, we have signed memorandums of education, research, and dissemination with two international and 24 reputed institutions. , Establishment of a humanoid robot, seed production, fisheries, increase in the university's revenue, skill development of farm women [rural youth and faculty].

The Chancellor gave away degrees and gold medals to the deserving students from his lotus feet. After that, Dr. Durg Singh Chouhan said in the convocation speech that "Vidya Sarvatram Dhanam," while increasing the students' enthusiasm, he talked about continuous knowledge acquisition.
Agriculture Minister lauded the Vice-Chancellor for the innovations being done in the university, the high jump in ICAR ranking, and the certification of all colleges. He called upon the youth to come forward for research.
 
The Controller of Examinations of the University, Dr. Sunil Intodia, said that 938 degrees were awarded in this convocation, including 706 graduates, 150 postgraduates, and 82 academics in the Faculty of Agriculture, Engineering, Community Science, Food and Dietetics, Dairy Technology, and Fisheries. There were 13 gold medals in all the faculties at the undergraduate level, 16 at the postgraduate level, and Ph.D. Gold medals were awarded to level 5 and 2 engineering faculty students by Jain Irrigation. Apart from this, Ms. Megha Mishra was awarded Chancellor's Gold Medal for getting the highest marks in M. Tech. A total of 38, including "Shri Phool Singh Rathod Memorial Gold Medal" to Shubham Jha, a student of Engineering Faculty by the Vice-Chancellor, was awarded in memory of his father Mr. Gold medals. 
In this convocation, Ph.D. of College of Technology and Engineering. Student self. Shivani Johri was posthumously awarded her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering. was awarded the degree. It is noteworthy that 666 students and 272 girls have got degrees in this convocation, out of which 14 students and 24 girls have received gold medals, which the Governor has also praised.
Dr. PK Singh, the coordinator of the convocation, said that Dr. Amarika Singh, Vice-Chancellor of Sukhadia University, Dr. SS Sarangdevot, Vice-Chancellor of Vidyapeeth University, Dr. Uma Shankar Sharma, many former Vice-Chancellors, District Administrative Officers, members of the Board of Management, Governor ADC, dignitaries, parents and colleagues from the press and media were present. Public Relations Officer Dr. Subodh Sharma said that the program was conducted by Acting Registrar and Finance Controller Mrs. Manju Bala Jain, Controller of Examinations Dr. Sunil Intodia, and Dr. Rupal Babel. The program ended with the national anthem.
