Rajasthan Loktantrik Morcha Demands Repeal of Labour Codes

Udaipur: Rajasthan Loktantrik Morcha, a joint front of Janata Dal Secular, Communist Party of India, Communist Party of India (Marxist) , Communist Party of India 9Marxist-Leninist), Samajwadi Party and Rashtriya Lok Dal demanded the repeal of the Labour Codes and reinstatement of the 44 labour Laws. The Morcha leaders held a Press Conference in Udaipur on Monday 14th December, 2021 and demanded the repeal of Labour Codes just as the Farm laws were repealed and demanded reinstatement of the 44 Labour Laws which they said were made after prolonged struggle by the working class. Addressing the Press Conference the state President of Janata Dal Secualr Arjun Detha said that the Bihar Assembly has passed a unanimous resolution to demand caste based census. He said that the government of Rajasthan should also move a resolution to this effect and demand caste based census. He said that this will ensure proper representation of all the castes in jobs. Comrade Shankar lal Chaudhary stressed the need to oppose privatization in the name of monetization. He said that if all public sectors is privatized there will be no meaning left in reservation policies. CPIM leader S.R. Siddiqui demanded that employment should be the main focus. Government has sold out BSNL, Airports, Ports and is all set to sell out Railways. He demanded that this policy of privatization of public sector and Banks should immediately be stopped. CPI leader Himmat Chhangwal also demanded the repeal of Labour Codes and increase in the minimum wages of the labour all over, particularly in the state of Rajasthan where it is very low in comparison to Delhi and Kerala. The leaders said that they would launch a campaign to raise a struggle for these demands.
