Essay Writing Competition on Mahatma Gandhi

My dear children, there is good news for you all. Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts, New Delhi, is organizing Essay Writing Competition on Mahatma Gandhi.
In order to commemorate the closing of the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Children in the Junior group(9 to 13 years) and Senior group(14 to 18 years)have been asked to submit their handwritten essay in Hindi or English by September 18, 2020 (11.30 pm). Attractive prizes have been kept to motivate children in authentic creative writing. First prize-Rs.21,000/,Second prize-Rs.11,000/ , Third prize-Rs.5,100/ besides Five Consolation prizes of Rs.2,100/ each in all the four categories. Children can write on any one from the topics suggested by IGNCA as under-
Junior- (Limit- 400 words).
- Gandhi ji and Idea(Concept ) of Clean India(Swachch Bharat).
- Gandhi Ji's Weapon – Non-Violence.
3.Karmyogi Gandhi.( गांधी जी की स्वच्छ भारत की कल्पना/ गांधी जी का अस्त्र – अहिंसा/ कर्मयोगी गांधी)
Senior (Limit- of 550 words).
- Gandhi ji and skill Development.
- Significance of Gandhi ji during Covid-19.
- Gram Swarajya and Gandhi( Rural Independence and Gandhi) (गांधी जी एवं कौशल विकास/ कोविड -19 के समय गांधी जी का महत्व/ ग्राम स्वराज्य एवं गांधी )
The criteria of evaluation will include-
- Understanding of Topic – 20 Marks
- The grip on Language - 20 Marks
- Truth worthiness - 20 Marks
- Originality with Rationality – 20 Marks
- Creativity – 20 Marks
Total – 100 Marks

Though the time left is less, this challenge may bring exciting results for the enlightened and sensitive children.
