At least 10 people killed, more than 25 injured in UP bus accident
In Uttar Pradesh, at least 10 people were killed and more than 25 injured in a road accident near Ghiloi village under Chhibramau police station in Kannauj district late last night. The fatal incident happened when a private bus was collided with truck on national highway and both the vehicles caught fire after accident and passengers were charred to death. According to police ten bodies have been identified. Efforts are being made to find out and confirm weather more people were charred in the accident. According to eye witness and unconfirmed sources more deaths are feared in the incident. Ram Naresh Agnihotri excise minster in state government visited the accident site and said the inquiry is going on and action will be taken against the guilty.
Additional SP police Kannauj Vinod Kumar told AIR that almost 44 passengers were laden the bus.The bus was going to Jaipur from Kannauj. Twenty five serious injured passengers have been admitted to hospitals at Chhibramau and Tirva Hospital. The number of dead may increase. Various people including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, have expressed sorrow on the incident. Yogi Adityanath has expressed deep sorrow on the incident and announced 2 lakh rupees each to the nearest kin of deceased . He has also announced financial assistance of rupees 50, thousand to the each injured. He has instructed free and .best treatment of the injured.
