Sailing High: Alumni of HZL's High-Flyers Program Share Success Stories

In a recent Alumni Meet organized by Hindustan Zinc Limited (HZL), former participants of the High-Flyers Program came together to share their inspiring success stories. The event, held at Vidya Bhavan, not only witnessed the reunion of over 80 students from the past five batches but also garnered encouragement and insights from top executives of Hindustan Zinc.
These alumni, now pursuing higher education in renowned institutions across the country and some already placed in esteemed organizations, serve as living examples of how dedication and hard work can turn dreams into reality, overcoming economic and social challenges.
One such success story is that of Mohit from Bhilwara, who faced numerous struggles due to financial constraints. Mohit's life took a positive turn when he became a part of the High-Flyers Program. Currently in his final semester of engineering at MBM Jodhpur, Mohit has secured placement at JSW Energy, marking a significant achievement. Expressing gratitude for the High-Flyers Program, Mohit credited it not only for shaping his future but also for enhancing his personality.
The interactive session during the meet featured Hemlata Kunwar Devda, a shining example of determination. Hailing from the remote village of Nohara, Hemlata overcame hurdles to become the first engineer in her village. From pursuing engineering in Himachal Pradesh's NIT Hamirpur to covering thousands of kilometers away from home, Hemlata stands as an inspiration for other girls in her village. Her journey embodies the success of the High-Flyers Program.
During the program, Muneesh Vasudeva, C-HRO, Duraiez Raj, Chief Commercial Officer, and Anupam Nidhi, Head CSR, along with other dignitaries from Hindustan Zinc, shared practical insights. They emphasized the importance of believing in oneself and focusing on exploring new opportunities. Muneesh Vasudeva shed light on the mission of inclusive development and urged former students to contribute to the upliftment of their surrounding communities.
The High-Flyers Program, which aims to focus on education for rural and tribal students aspiring to join prestigious institutions like IITs and NITs, has made a significant impact. Operating through the Shiksha Sambal Foundation, the program selects talented students from humble backgrounds, provides them with free coaching, and supports their overall development. In collaboration with Technical Bid Regions Adventures Pvt Ltd, the program has benefited 262 students from regions like Agucha, Chanderiya, Dariba, Debari, Kayad, Udaipur, and Pantnagar.
The success stories shared during the Alumni Meet underscore the program's contribution to creating a brighter and more inclusive future for students. The High-Flyers Program continues to pave the way for a promising and diverse path for aspiring individuals, exemplifying the transformative power of education.’
