Udaipur: The Udaipur Tax Bar Association secured victory in the Sampati Lal Bohra Memorial Cricket Competition, defeating the Udaipur Income Tax Department team by 72 runs in the final match.
Sudhir Mehta, the president of the association, revealed that the Udaipur Tax Bar team, playing first after winning the toss at Geetanjali Cricket Ground, set a formidable score of 168 in the allotted 20 overs. Adab Babel contributed 94 runs, while Pankaj Jain added 55 runs to the total. In response, the Income Tax Department team managed only 96 runs, with Pradhumna Yadav scoring 29 runs.
Captain Ashish Pahujha of the Tax Bar took three wickets by conceding 16 runs. Adab Babel's splendid 94-run performance earned him the Man of the Match title. In the third-place match, the CGST team defeated the SGST team by six wickets, securing the third position. Manish Yadav of CGST was declared the Man of the Match for his 58 runs. The tournament concluded with an awards ceremony, where Akshay Jain received the Man of the Series award, Pankaj Jain was recognized as the Best Batsman and Wicketkeeper, Anuj Bhatnagar was named the Best Bowler, and Adab Babel received the Best Fielder award.
