Udaipur - Udaipur athletes have once again demonstrated their prowess by winning three gold and four bronze medals in the national kickboxing competition for child, cadet, and junior categories. The competition was held at the Harivansh Tana Bhagat Indoor Stadium in Ranchi, Jharkhand, from August 23rd to 27th, where 12 players from Udaipur represented Rajasthan.
The gold medalists from Udaipur include Bhavesh Chaudhary, Divij Solanki, and Purva Shrimali. Bhavesh Chaudhary, competing in the 67 kg category, dominated his final match in the low kick event, defeating Krish Sinha from Jharkhand. Divij Solanki, competing in the +91 kg category, faced a tough fight in the final match of the point fight event but emerged victorious against Ratikant Sahu of Odisha. Purva Shrimali, competing in the -60 kg category, secured the gold medal with a convincing win over Priya Verma from Uttarakhand in the Kick Light event. These three players earned the title of national champions in their respective categories.
In addition to the gold medalists, Udaipur's athletes also won four bronze medals in the competition. Bhavya Shrimali (Point Fight), Devanshi Jain (Kick Light), Atul Dak (Point Fight), and Dishan Khandelwal (Point Fight) received bronze medals for their remarkable performances. All four players reached the semi-finals in their respective events before securing the bronze medals.Other Udaipur athletes who participated in the competition include Harshi Jain, Dimple Chaudhary, Charu Verma, Devraj, and Pradyuman Singh. Harshi Jain, participating in the musical form event, secured the fifth position. The District Association officials plan to honor all the players for their outstanding achievements
