Udaipur: Social Activist and a senior member of All India Progressive Women’s Association Former Assistant Director, Department of College Education has been elected as a member of the 77 strong Central Committee of the CPI (ML). She was a member of the delegation that participated in the Party Congress at Patna from 15 to 20th February. Dr.Chandra Dev Ola, district secretary of the party told that Dr. Farhat Bano had been working for the urban poor in the slums of Udaipur for many years and was a dedicated social activist much before she joined AIPWA. She was instrumental in the organizing of All India Conference of AIPWA in Udaipur . The party passed political resolutions in the Congress in which the right wing fascist and communal forces were described as the most serious threat to the democracy and constitution of India. The party initiated the forging of opposition unity by inviting Tejaswi Yadav, Nitish Kumar and Congresss leader Salman Khurshid to the Congress. Besides Dr. Farhat Bano peasant leader Phoolchand Dheva was also elected to the Central Committee. The eight member delegation from Udaipur included state Committee member Shankar lal Chaudhary, Gautam Meena, Puran Meena, Khanki, Ramesh, Babul Lal and Comrade Saurabh Naruka.
