A record 48 thousand saplings were planted simultaneously across the district

Udaipur. Friday was the day of plantation in the district. Under the aegis of the District Administration and Rural Development Department, 48 thousand saplings were planted simultaneously under Ba-Bapu Plantation Campaign. The district-level program was held in the chief hospitality of District Collector Chetan Deora at Rishabhdev's Lower Mandwa.

He pledged to protect the plants by planting district-level saplings in Lower Mandwa there to the concerned officials. Collector Deora said that planting saplings is not enough. It is our first responsibility to conserve these plants for a happy future. He said that along with environmental protection, plants have particular importance in our lives. We get life-giving oxygen from plants.

Zilla Parishad CEO Dr. Manju highlighted the program's objectives and called for proper protection and care of the trees and plants planted. On this occasion, Sub-Divisional Officer Govind Singh Ratnu, BDO Higalajdan Charan, and Tehsildar Vimlendra Singh Ranawat also planted saplings and planted 200 saplings with the help of villagers.

Chief Conservator of Forests Mukesh Saini, Panchayat Samiti member Saligram, Sub-Divisional Officer Govind Singh, Executive Engineer Rajesh Bansal, Tehsildar Vimlendra Ranawat, BDO Hinglaj Dan Charan Assistant Engineer Sanjay Jain, Jeevan Kumar Barala and Sarpanch Hemlata Meena, etc. were present in the program.

Panchaphal Pasture

Development Officer Charan said that a target of planting 3500 saplings had been set in the Panchayat Samiti area. The last year 1000 saplings were planted in Panchphal pasture, out of which about 800 plants are alive. Most of the plants are fruitful like Mango, Guava, Jamun, Amla, Sitaphal, Sweet Tamarind, and Teak, Shisham, Gulmohar, etc. A target was set to plant saplings in Panchphal pasture, which would be accomplished with the help of NREGA and villagers. Most of these plants are fruitful and woody like Mahua, Mango, Guava, Jamun, Sitaphal, etc.

hi-tech nursery

 After this, the District Collector inspected the hi-tech nursery of Mamta's wife Shankar and the nursery of Forest Department Kagdar in Boba Phala. During the inspection, information was taken from the nursery operator Mamta Meena about the improved variety and income of vegetables. During this, Mukesh Kumar of Tata Trusts, Vijay Solanki, Kamlesh Suthar, and Mohit Jani of Rajvika were present.

NREGA works inspected

Collector and CEO also observed the ongoing NREGA works in Rishabhdev and instructed to complete the works within the stipulated period. He inquired about other development works, including pasture development work, plantation under NREGA, and gave instructions to maintain the quality of results. During this, the concerned officers gave detailed information about the ongoing assignments. Collector-CEO also inspected NREGA worked in Java of Panchayat Samiti Girwa and gave guidelines.

Collector-CEO inspected Kagdar Nursery of Forest Department located at Rishabhdev. The District Collector took entire stock of the preparation of 80 thousand plants of Tulsi, Giloy, Kalmegh, and Ashwagandha species prepared by the Forest Department under the house-to-house drug scheme and inquired about the plan of plant distribution. Deputy Conservator of Forests Mukesh Saini informed that medicinal plants would be distributed to 10 thousand families from this nursery.
