One Day Peer Educator Training Program organized by Red Ribbon Club

The Red Ribbon Club organized the Peer Education Training Program at the University Guest House under the aegis of Mohanlal Sukhadia University and Rajasthan State AIDS Control Society, Jaipur, NACO and Population Foundation of India. The Director of the Red Ribbon Club workshop, Dr. P.S. Rajput, welcomed everyone. The program was chaired by Prof. Amarika Singh, Vice-Chancellor Mohanlal Sukhadia University.

 Under the guidance o The head of the department in charge of the music department, Dr. Pamil Modi”s ”Red Ribbon song” was performed. Mohanlal Sukhadia University is the first university in the country where the website of the Red Ribbon Club has been prepared, and the song has also been composed. This song will be played in every program across the country.

In the program, Professor Amarika Singh discussed the Super Sarathi Center's establishment, awareness related to health and education in rural male service and tribal areas, and issues related to women upliftment. Prof. Singh spoke about blood donation and the development of life, and the continuous efforts being made by the university and nationalism; he called upon all the peer educators to work for the social benefit in their lives.

Garima Bhati, Deputy Director of AIDS Control Society, Jaipur, spoke about peer education training and gave detailed information about their goals and objectives. Mr. Neeraj Gupta of Population Foundation of India provided detailed information about adolescent and youth health.
