Start interrupted tasks due to lockdown soon - Collector

Udaipur, District Collector Smt. Anandi has instructed all the concerned departmental officials that due to the lockdown, the basic works of the common people were disrupted, and the benefits should be extended to the relevant people by starting the pending tasks at full speed.

Collector Mrs. Anandi was addressing the review meeting of departmental officers related to power, water, health, and public works department on Monday after about two and a half months after the lockdown.

On this occasion, she took information from the high officials of these four departments about the current status of the pending works of the department and directed them to complete them at the earliest. Collector said that one and a half lakh migrants have arrived in the district, so if workers are needed to start development work, then due to the lockdown in the district, make full use of skilled-unskilled workers from other states.

Prioritize completion of drinking water projects:

The Collector took information from Superintendent Engineer Nakshatra Singh of PHED about departmental arrangements for drinking water supply across the district. She also asked about water supply arrangements when needed, given summer in rural areas, and directed to take it seriously and take immediate action. When the Collector asked about the installation of Solar Panaghat, Singh said that 22 Panaghats had been established in blocks like Mavli, Kurabad, Gogunda, Girwa, etc. The Collector asked to complete the remainder as soon as possible. The Collector took information on problems related to drinking water and projects in Budgaon, Salumbar, Delana, and other areas and asked to present updated information on these in the next meeting. On the instructions of the Collector, Singh said that notices have been issued to the contractors on the level of Executive Engineer on pending drinking water projects and have warned of action if they do not complete the work in 15 days.

See water supply complaints individually:

During the meeting, the Collector asked the Superintendent Engineer of PHED, Singh on the status of the complaints regarding drinking water supply and their delayed disposal, that they should monitor the water-related complaints daily and see that after making the complaint, the consumer gets rid of his problem Do not have to wait for The Collector directed that the team reached the spot as soon as the complaint was lodged and such complaint should be resolved within 24 hours.

No pendency in agricultural connections:

During the departmental review of the power, the Collector took information about Pendency of electrical connections and especially agricultural connections from AVVNL Superintending Engineer Girish Joshi and instructed that this Pendency should be zeroed as soon as possible. She directed to push all unfinished works, including complaints related to electricity generation, installation of meters under the Smart City Project, electricity connection cases in rural areas.

List the needs of the model hospital:

During the meeting, Collector Mrs. Anandi while reviewing the Department of Medicine and Health, took information related to vaccination, family welfare and institutional delivery from RCHO Dr. Ashok Aditya, with a view to model all the PHC and CHC in the district and the availability of institutional resources and Instructed to prepare a list of requirements. She said that to strengthen the medical and health services, the state government has made arrangements to provide funds from the MLAD, in such a situation, to enhance every medical institution, prepare the list in a week. The Collector insisted on making a list of facilities such as X-rays, sonography machines, labor room arrangements, baby ward resources, dental chairs, and two-wheeler ambulances for inaccessible places in these hospitals.

  Review of roads and construction work from PWD:

In the meeting, the Collector took information from Superintendent Engineer Ashok Sharma of the Public Works Department about the construction and repair works, including the works of PMGSY started in rural areas. During this, Sharma said that the department employs 2500 workers on 45 works under NREGA. The Collector instructed the department to engage more and more workers on about 200 approved jobs. The Collector told to complete the OPD work of the district hospital, outstanding electric work in the nursing hostel and hospital roof repair work, completion of work of Kherwara, and Lassadia College.

Additional District Collector (City) Sanjay Kumar, Assistant Director (Public Services) Deepak Mehta, and related departmental officers were present in the meeting.
