Udaipur: The National Executive Council of the representative body of the teachers of higher education All India Federation of Universities and College Teachers Organizations will meet on 6-7 April, 2019 in Udaipur. This meet will be accompanied by a National Seminar on " Present Scenario of Higher Education in India and Future Prospects". The two day programme will be hosted by Sukhadia University Teachers Association and Rajasthan Universities and College Teachers Association ( RUCTA). The Executive meeting of RUCTA will also take place on the evening of 6th April. NEC members from all over the country will participate in the seminar and the meeting. The seminar on 6th April will be chaired by the Vice Chancellor of M.L.Sukhadia University Prof. J.P.Sharma while the NEC meeting of AIFUCTO will be chaired by the President of AIFUCTO Prof. Keshab Bhattacharya.
Organizing Secretary of the event Dr. Devendra Singh Rathore, President SUTA informed that a meeting was held on Sunday 31st March to discuss the arrangements and agenda of the meeting. The leaders of AIFUCTO and RUCTA including president of RUCTA Dr. G.N.Ghasia, Zonal Secretary of AIFUCTO Prof. Pradeep Parashar, former Vice President Dr. Ghasi Ram Chaudhary, former Zonal Secretary Prof. H.S.Chandalia, secretary of SUTA Dr. Giriraj Singh, Joint Secretary Dr. Harish, Dr. Nadeem Chisty, Dr. Praveen Pandya etc. participated in the meeting. General Secretary of RUCTA Dr. Vijay Ary has issued circular requesting teachers to participate in the two day event whole heartedly. The issues like autonomy of institutions of higher education, implementation of VII Pay commission recommendations uniformly all over the country, recruitment of regular teachers, pension scheme for teachers, research and development grants, check on saffronization of syllabi and the creation of the post of professor in the colleges of Rajasthan are likely to be taken up in the two day event.
