Players' auction for Pacific Premier League concluded

Udaipur:Theplayers'auction for the fourth season of the Pacific Premier League, one of Rajasthan's biggest and most popular cricket tournaments, was conducted by the franchisees in Udaipur. The captains of eight teams and members of the franchise participatedintheauction.The auction was held in the presence of PPL Founder Aman Agarwal, Co-Founder Manoj Choudhary,CommissionerDr. Prakash Jain, Organizing Secretary Yashwant Paliwal, andSponsorGSSportsVikram Yadav; on occasion, Pacific Medical University's Founder Ra h u l Ag a rwa l a n d Chairperson Preeti Agarwal a n d Ud a i p u r Cri c k e t Association President Manoj Bhatnagar were also present. The matches of this competitiontobeheldfortheprescribed age group will be held at Karanpur ground in the month of May; all the matches of the tournament will also be telecast live. PPLfounderAmanAgarwal said that more than 250 playershadregisteredforthefourth season. For the auction, the records of state-level players and other players were tried, andthevideorecordingsofthe players who could not give the trial were called, out of which 197 players were selected. Theseplayerswereauctioned for eight teams, out of which 140 players were auctioned. Therewas tremendousenthusiasm among the franchisees regarding the players. Very interestingauctionswereseen with some players running in good form.PPL co-founder Manoj Choudhary said that the matches of the competition would be of 20-20 overs, in which each team will have to play against all the seven teams. Players from all over India are playing in the competition, as well as players from America, Sri Lanka, Canada, and Nepal will be seen playing on the field. In the previous edition of the competition, international level players like Ajay Jadeja, MunafPatel, and Stuart Binny have come for encouragement. In the future, there is a plan to organize the match nights of the competition. PPL Commissioner Dr. Prakash Jain said that this tournamenthasnowgonefrom localtoglobal.Theplayersand the franchisee have great enthusiasmforthecompetition. Welcoming everyone at the auction opening, he said that Udaipur, which is famous for tourism,isnowbecomingabig name for cricket as well. The pitch, umpires, balls, and grounds inthecompetitionare as per the prescribed norms so that the players and spectators will enjoy the nationallevel competition. Pacific Medical University Founder Rahul Agarwal said that the players who played in PPL have played at the state level, and three players have alsogonetoIndiaCamp.There are plans to make PPL at the level of IPF in the future. Chairperson Preeti Agarwal said that playing with big players in PPL gives local players an opportunity to learn and wishes themallthebestforthe competition. PPL Organizing Secretary Yashwant Paliwal said that organizing PPL is proving to be a big platform to bring forth the talent of the players.Being competitive in cricket, players get to learn a lot.
