People's mandate against corruption and hooliganism in Congress rule

Nimbahera.The by-elections of Ward No. 16 of Nimbahera Municipality were held on Sunday, the counting of which was completed on Monday morning under the direction of Returning Officer and SDM Ramesh Sirvi Punadia.
BJP candidate Smt. Sumitra Soni won Vijayashree by five votes while getting 443 votes for this ward.
BJP municipal spokesperson Kamlesh Banwar said that as soon as BJP candidate Soni was declared victorious, BJP supporters expressed joy and congratulated each other outside the counting venue and shouted slogans in support of BJP and former minister Kriplani.
When BJP candidate Sumitra Soni was declared victorious, former Minister for Self-Government Shrichand Kripalani termed it a people's mandate against four-and-a-half years of misrule, corruption, and hooliganism of the Congress.
Kriplani said that for the last four years, the public has been suffering from the corruption in the Congress rule and increasing hooliganism in the area; the people have shown their mandate by defeating the Congress in the by-elections held just before the assembly elections.
Reacting to BJP's Sumitra Soni's victory, Municipal President Nitin Chaturvedi called it a defeat of corruption prevailing in the Congress-ruled board in the municipality. He said that the residents of the ward, intoxicated by power, have licked the dust of the Congress candidate, denying the corruption-filled works of the Congress-ruled municipal board. At the same time, he said that the results have been favorable only because of the efforts made by each worker with team spirit.
Spokesperson Kamlesh Banwar said that after the BJP candidate Mrs. Sumitra Soni was declared victorious, a procession was taken out under former minister Srichand Kriplani to thank the ward residents with band instruments. During this, former MLA Ashok Navlakha, BJP city president Nitin Chaturvedi, ward election in-charge Parasmal Parakh, former municipal president Prahlad Soni, former municipal vice-president Shyamsundar Agarwal, Suresh Kherodia, Lalit Prakash Sharda, etc. senior leaders including a large number of BJP office bearers, workers and ward residents be present.
