Glimpse of Mini Rajasthan will be seen in Rajasthan Utsav

New Delhi: Before the Rajasthan Foundation Day (30 March), Rajasthan Utsav has been started and inaugurated on Thursday at Bikaner House in New Delhi. The function inaugurates by Smt. Shubhra Singh, Principal Resident Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Rajasthan in New Delhi. Shri Dhiraj Srivastava, Commissioner, Rajasthan Foundation and Smt. Mamta Singhania, Member of the Executive Council of Bikaner House Management Society with the lighting the lamp and cutting the ribbon.This Utsav will be open to the General Public 11:00 am to 9:00 pm daily from 24 March to 31 March 2022 at Bikaner House Complex, New Delhi. Rajasthan Tourism, Rajasthan Foundation, Bikaner House Management Society and RUDA together have released the complete activity calendar of this Rajasthani Utsav. In this fair, more than 50 stalls of Rajasthani artisans have been set up by Rural Nonfarm Development Agency (RUDA), where art and handicraft goods of Rajasthani artisans will be available for purchase to the visitors.Speaking on the occasion of the inaugural function, Principal Resident Commissioner Smt. Shubhra Singh said that it is a matter of joyous for The Non-resident Rajasthani settled in Delhi and the residents of the capital that Rajasthani art, culture and handicraft items are available in the same premises in this fest. Here you can enjoy rajasthani cultural activities; rajasthani cuisine includes exhibitions, performances, crafts, fairs, book fest and showcasing the best of the culture of Rajasthan and beyond. She said that through such activities, the Government of Rajasthan wants to make Bikaner House as a 'Gateway of Rajasthan', and Cultural Centre of Rajasthani Art and Culture.Shri Dhiraj Srivastava, Commissioner, Rajasthan Foundation said that March 30 is a day of great historical importance in the history of Rajasthan. This program organized in Delhi to promote Rajasthani Art and Culture on the occasion of Rajasthan Day. He said that according to the wishes of Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot, we want to make Bikaner House a “World Class Cultural Centre” through such Rajasthani Cultural Programs.
Vintage car rally will be the centre of attraction in Rajasthan Utsav-Shri Dhiraj says, in this week-long Rajasthan Utsav, A Vintage Car Rally will be organized in Association with Heritage Motoring Club of India and Rajasthan Foundation on March 27. The Car of the then Bikaner Maharaj will be at the fore in Vintage Car Rally, which will later be displayed for the visitors at the Bikaner House premises during the festival,. Giving information about the products and stalls of Rajasthani Artisans, Mr. Om Prakash of RUDA said that we have provided space here for selected artisans of Rajasthan in this Utsav. These Handicraft products include Blue Pottery, Stone Work, Rajasthani Woolen Shawl, Rajasthani Jewellery, Marble, Brass Metal Work, Clay Face, Rajasthani Jooties, Barmeri Embroidery, Sanganeri Print, Bagru Hand Block Print, Rajasthani Sarees Various types of Rajasthani Handicraft Items including Suits, Terracotta, Wooden Craft, Gota Patti, Tarkashi Work, Leather Bag, Rajasthani Painting, Kota Doria, Ajrak Print, Pokaran Pottery, Patwa Work, Kavad Cast Art, Rajasthani Bangles will be available for sale to visitors.On this inaugural function of Rajasthan Utsav Additional Resident Commissioner Shri Vimal Sharma, Assistant Resident Commissioner Rinku Meena and Manoj Kumar Singh, Assistant Director of Rajasthan Tourist Centre, Chhatrapal Singh and Manoj Kumar, PRO Shivram Meena and officers and employees of all the offices of Rajasthan Government were present.
