Udaipur:IntherecentlyorganizedNational AllergyandAsthmaConference,Ekicon-2023, held in Jaipur, Dr. Atul Luhadia, a respiratory specialist from Geetanjali MedicalCollege and Hospital in Udaipur, was chosen for a panel discussion. Dr. Luhadia shared his expertise on a respiratory condition known as Hypersensitivity Pneumonitis (HP) and discussed the diagnosis and treatment of this ailment. Duringtheconference,Dr.Luhadiaemphasized the critical need for early diagnosis and treatment of HP, as delaying intervention could lead to the progression of the disease and the possibility of permanent fibrosis in the lungs. He highlighted that patients might experience worsening cough and respiratory symptoms, potentially leading to oxygen deficiency in the body.Dr. Luhadia also mentioned that individuals exposed to substances like silica, fungi, or pigeon droppings over an extended period at home may be at risk of developing this condition. He pointed out that serious symptoms could manifest in such cases. Furthermore, Dr. Luhadia took on the role of chairing the session on "Advances inAllergy andAsthma," showcasing his leadership in the field. The conference brought together specialists from various states in India to discuss and exchange insights on respiratory diseases.
