GMCH Hosts Three-Day Laparoscopic Surgery Fellowship Conference

Geetanjali Medical College and Hospital in Udaipur recently organized a three-day fellowship conference on laparoscopic surgery, commonly known as minimally invasive surgery, conducted by the Department of Surgery. The inaugural ceremony was led by Mr. Ankit Agarwal, the Executive Director of Geetanjali Medical College.

The conference featured lectures and master videos on laparoscopy and endoscopy surgery, delivered by renowned surgeons from across the country. Dr. Ajay Chauhan, the Organizing Chairman, and Dr. Mohit Kumar Badgurjar, the Organizing Secretary, highlighted that delegates from various states and cities actively participated, with approximately 125 surgeons and 50 postgraduates attending the event.

Throughout the conference, experts in laparoscopic surgery, including Dr. F. S. Mehta, Dr. Sangeeta Gupta, Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Tudu, Dr. Sanjeev Agrawal, Dr. Suman Parihar, Dr. J. L. Kumawat, Dr. Kamalkishor Bishnoi, Dr. Mital Patel, Dr. Urmil Labana, and Dr. Parth Bhoot, showcased live surgeries and shared their expertise.

This fellowship conference, organized under the auspices of the Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endo Surgeons (IAGES), headed by Dr. S. Easwaranmurti (President) and Dr. Satish Midha (Secretary), aimed to educate surgeons from different regions of India on the latest developments in laparoscopic and endoscopic procedures.
