A 65-year-old patient got relief from subarachnoid bleeding

Udaipur: Paras Hospital saved the life of a 65-year-old patient from Kumbhalgarh with a new and safe method. In this, the patient was treated with the help of a new type of flow diverter technique. With new technology, Dr. Tarun Mathur of Paras Hospital has successfully eradicated this severe disease and saved the patient's life.
Dr. Tarun Mathur, Senior Consultant, Neurology & Interventional Neurology, Paras Hospital Udaipur, said that he suffered from severe headaches when the patient was brought to the hospital. His initial investigation revealed a subarachnoid hemorrhage. The bursting of a bulging vein in the brain usually causes an emergency. If it is not treated in time, it can cause severe brain damage and death of the patient. However, as soon as subarachnoid bleeding was detected, he referred us for further treatment. Then he underwent cerebral angiography, which showed a small size aneurysm in the anterior communicating artery. It was impossible to cure it by a simple coiling procedure, so treatment with a new type of treatment
was decided to do a flow diversion procedure. Nowadays, small size or mini flow diverters are available which can be implanted to treat this type of aneurysm."
A flow diverter is an endovascular prosthesis used to treat intracranial aneurysms. It is placed in the root artery of the aneurysm, which covers the neck, to prevent blood flow and progressive sac thrombosis. Flow-diverting stents consist of a structural cobalt-chrome or nitinol alloy wire and often a set of radiopaque wires woven into a flexible braid.
010Expressing gratitude to Dr. Tarun Mathur and the entire team of Paras Hospital Udaipur, the patient said that now he is healthy and feeling better than before.
