Udaipur: Under the initiative of outreach programs for marginalized communities, a virtual dialogue program was organized on Wednesday at the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Sabha Ghar by the municipal corporation. Approximately three lakh people from nearly 470 districts across the country participated virtually in the program. During the event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaged in dialogue with beneficiaries of various schemes and also inaugurated the Prime Minister's Social Upliftment and Employment-based Jan Kalyan (PM Sooraj) portal.
Addressing the beneficiaries, Prime Minister Modi remarked that today, the nation is witnessing another significant opportunity towards the welfare of Dalits, backward classes, and marginalized societies. He highlighted the importance of prioritizing marginalized communities and emphasized how the essence of inclusivity is evident in the event. Prime Minister Modi announced that financial assistance amounting to 720 crore rupees has been directly transferred to the bank accounts of 1 lakh beneficiaries belonging to marginalized groups. He underscored the government's responsiveness, stating that today, with just a press of a button, funds are being transferred to beneficiaries' accounts due to the government's sensitivity.
Prime Minister Modi further emphasized the government's commitment to providing essential services to marginalized communities. He noted initiatives such as providing free ration to 80 crore needy individuals, guaranteeing free healthcare up to 5 lakh rupees, and successfully combating the inhumane practice of manual scavenging. The event, held as part of the outreach program for marginalized groups, witnessed the presence of City Councilor Tarachand Jain, municipal officials, and a large number of beneficiaries of various schemes.
