Sir Padampat Singhania University, Udaipurorganised a mega event Degrees in Design and Future Skills Festival at Hotel Radisson, Lake City Mall, Udaipur on May 20, 2023. The festival focused on a wide range of degree programs, New age courses including B.Tech, BBA, MBA, and B.Des.ImaginXP SPSU’s industry partner for the degrees in design through hands-on workshop spread awareness about UX design and game animation courses. With panel discussions, an award ceremony, and career counselling sessions, the festival offered valuable insights into career opportunities for students. 
Prof.(Dr.) Padmakali Banerjee, President and Vice Chancellor, SPSU highlighted the implementation NEP 2020 at the University and emphasized  therise of new age courses that has opened up exciting opportunities for students blending traditional disciplines with emerging technologies, leading to the creation of innovative career paths and promoting a holistic approach. Col(Dr.) SanjivTomar, Pro-President stressed on the benefits of pursuing degrees in design and new age courses and design that will foster self-expression, nurture creativity and empower individuals to think outside the box.The Dean Academics Dr.BhavanaAdhikari underlined the importance innovative and robust curriculum delivery for sustainable development. The Guest of Honour Director RSCERT Ms. KavitaPathakcomplemented the University for offering cutting-edge technological courses and implementing innovative courses that align with the demands of the rapidly evolving technological landscape. The session witnessed Panel discussions on “New Age Career Opportunities in UX Design and Future Skills” and "Ingredients of a Successful Career" in which eminent dignitaries asMr. Ravi Gupta, L&D Head, Hindustan Zinc Ltd.,Mr. AnuragShrivastava, Vice President Marketing, Wonder Cement, Mr. Virendra Singh Ranawat, Co-Founder Wooden Street, Ms.SaumyaAgarwal, Product Designer, Meesho,  Ms.TanviManglick, Senior UX Designer, Xoriant guided the students about the new age courses and answered to their queries.Mr. Abhayjeet Singh, Chief Academic Officer, ImaginXP, Ms.Meher, ImaginXP,Dr.BhavanaAdhikari, Dean Academics, SPSU, Dr.DarpanAnand, HoD, CSE and Dr. Shweta Lalwani, HoD, School of Management, SPSU also participated in it.
The University also signed an MoU with North Star Academy for the international courses as ACCA, CMA, USA, CPA and many others. The Excellence in Education Award Ceremony honoured the academicians of the Udaipur city for their valuable contribution in the field of education. The awardees were Mrs. PoonamRathore, Principal, Central Public School (CPS), Dr. SeemaNaruka, Principal, B N Public School, Mr. H S Thakur, Principal, DAV School, Dr. Lokesh Jain, Principal, Scholar’s Arena Sr. Secondary School, Mr. D K Gupta, Principal, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (VKV), Rishabhdev, Mr. AbhishekMajumder, Principal, The Study, Educationist Mr. RajnishGoswami,Educationist Dr.MukeshShrimali and Mr. Abhishek Jain. The outstanding students were givenStudent Academic Achievement Award for for securing more than 90% marks in class XII. The meritorious students were provided with the scholarships for pursuing their degree education at SPSU. More than 200 students participated actively in the hands-on session and were provided career counselling on various courses and their potential future prospects by the Admission Managers and experts. SPSU campus tour for the students aims to further enhance their knowledge and help them in making the right career decisions.
The event concluded with the vote of thanks by Dr. TusharSomnathe, Director Placements and Partnerships. All deans, Registrar and Senior Faculty members of the University participated actively and encouraged the students.
