New Delhi. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that for the convenience of migrant Rajasthanis, special summer trains would be operated for Jodhpur, Pali, and other places in West Rajasthan as per requirement.
In New Delhi on Wednesday, Pali MP and former Union Minister of State PP Chowdhary met Vaishnav and demanded to start these special trains.
Member of Parliament Chaudhary said that at present weekly trains are running from Pune to Jodhpur and various other places in South India, but these days due to marriage and other special festivals in Marwar, lakhs of migrants living in South India have to travel to Pali, Jodhpur, Jalore, Sirohi, People have been facing a lot of difficulties in coming and going to places like Barmer. Trains currently operating are fully reserved and packed for the next 03 months. The train is the only cheap and accessible means of transportation for migrants. Most of the migrants are related to the labor class. For this reason, they cannot bear the cost of air travel.
Choudhary said that with the increase in the frequency of trains and the commencement of special summer trains, it would be easier for the migrants who play a significant role in the country's economy and the state to come and go to their native land. Along with this, the revenue of Railways will also increase.

He demanded the Sabarmati-Ajmer Intercity Express stoppage at Sojat Railway Station, Paranakpur Express at Jawali and Nana Railway Station, Swarna Jayanti Express at Marwar Junction, and Aravali Express at Mori Railway Station.
He said that the common people, business people, students, and Rajasthani migrants associated with these areas have been waiting for the stoppage of special passenger trains for a long time.
In the meeting, Member of Parliament Chaudhary expressed gratitude to Railway Minister Vaishnav for recently sanctioning Jodhpur-Pune (11089/90) weekly train at Rani and Jawai Dam and Kochuveli-Sriganganagar Express (16311/12) at Falna railway station.
Urge to approve the Bilara-Ras rail project soon.
Member of Parliament Chaudhary urged the Railway Minister to approve the Bilara-Ras rail project based on the new survey. He once again demanded the rescheduling of Ranikhet Express, Jammu-Tawi Express, Jaisalmer-Sabarmati Express, Ranthambore Superfast Express, Delhi Sarai Rohilla Express at Ausian, Tinwari, Pipar, and Mathania stations.
