Pointing out the achievements of Shri Govind Guru Tribal University in the direction of freeing this holy land of Vagad-Kanthal from centuries of educational backwardness, Governor Shri Kalraj Mishra has said that the University has provided new dimensions to the academic and intellectual environment here. He has played an important role in He expressed this view on Saturday while addressing the fourth convocation ceremony of Sri Govind Guru Tribal University at Royal Kesari Auditorium, Lodha as the chief speaker. Describing the Govind Guru Tribal University as a remarkable gift in freeing the holy land of Newagad-Kanthal from educational backwardness for centuries, the Governor said that even in the absence of poverty, the tribes and other classes here are preserving their cultural identity and self-respect. He said Govind Guru Tribal University provides new dimensions to the educational and intellectual environment here. The cultural splendor, natural beauty, and the hills of Mahi Sarovar in the middle of the panoramic Aravalli range give this region a special place.
Governor Mr. Mishra said that this land of Vagad is very sacred and historical. Saint Mavji and respected Govind Guru have enriched this holy land with their penance and sacrifice. The tribal culture here has its unique importance. The Shaktipeeth of Maa Tripura Sundari on this earth gives immense power and energy to its devotees.
Governor Mr. Mishra said that it is the result of the hard work of many such great men that today I feel blessed to attend the fourth convocation ceremony of Govind Guru Tribal University in the name of eminent social worker and freedom fighter Pujya Govind Guru. This University is an excellent gift of higher education to the youth here, which will take their dreams to new heights of success.
 The Governor expressed happiness over the number of girl students getting degrees in the convocation ceremony, saying that girls had earned more degrees than boys. It is a pleasant and commendable development in the field of girl education.
Governor and Chancellor Mr. Kalraj Mishra in front of the Saraswati statue with the lighting of lamp and garlanding, national anthem, and Kulgeet inaugurated the ceremony. Governor Shri Kalraj Mishra awarded gold medals to 30 toppers and Ph.D. degrees to 11 research scholars at the function.
Dr. Narendra Paneri conducted the program. Acting District Collector Govind Singh Ranawat, District Superintendent of Police Rajesh Meena, Additional District Collector Naresh Bunkar, Banswara Sub-Divisional Officer Prakashchandra Rengar, along with district magistrates, a large number of people's representatives, members of the Board of Management and Academic Council, all the deans, faculty members, convocation ceremony Gold medal winners and degree holders, guardians, citizens, and intellectuals were present. The ceremony ended with the national anthem.
Tribal Regional Development Minister Mr. Arjun Singh Bamnia said at the function that with the opening of Govind Guru Tribal University, there had been a revolution in the education level in tribal areas. He told the youth that the state government is making overall development in education and has started several schemes for higher education; take advantage of them on time and speed up your education. He said that the College Education Department, Government of Rajasthan, has started the Rajiv Gandhi Scholarship Scheme for academic excellence, which talented students should take advantage of.

Before the commencement of the convocation ceremony, the Governor was taken along with a procession to the venue of the ceremony on the arrival of the Governor and Chancellor, Mr. Kalraj Mishra, at the Royal Kesari Auditorium in Lodha. The Board of Management and members of the University reached the venue in procession.
