4th International Classical Dance Festival concludes

Udaipur. The swaying steps to the beat of the tabla, showing the mastery of dance and the hard work of many years, the musical sound of classical dance, the mesmerizing gestures of the hands and eyes fluttering from the ghungroo, Bharatanatyam with the excellent coordination and control of the various expressions on the face 600 artists from 15 states of India including Doha, Qatar, London, Malaysia, Thailand presented nine forms of classical dance including Odissi, Kachchipudi, Mohiniyattam, Kathak, made the fourth International Classical Dance Festival historic by giving 320 performances in the Mahakumbh of Dance held in Udaipur.

The festival convener, Chandrakala Choudhary, said that the festival concluded on Saturday with a felicitation ceremony. Organized jointly under the aegis of All India Dancer Association, Kathak Ashram, Rotary Club Mewar, Arth Diagnostic, and Lakshmi Publicity, this festival showcased the beautiful dance form of South Indian culture.

Co-convener Vikas Joshi said that on the last day of the festival, Delhi's Kathak dancer Ms. Richa Gupta gave a stunning Kathak dance performance. Haridwar Kumar, B. Kachhi Poori Bharatnatyam was presented by Megha, Soumya Menon, and Shweta Nayak, while the artists of Kathak Ashram also made the closing ceremony attractive by giving special performances.

MLA Deepti Kiran Maheshwari, former MP Raghuveer Meena, Dr. Shraddha Gattani, social worker Dhirendra Singh Sachan, Sanjay Gupta, regional councilor Ramesh Jain, Pushpendra Parmar were present in the festival organized in the evening.

Joshi said that the Rajasthan Tourism Department had provided logo support to the International Classical Dance Festival. Deputy Director of Tourism Shikha Saxena says that by organizing this festival, another attraction has been added to the tourism of Udaipur, and artists will get promotion from the department's platform. Hindustan Zinc, Fusion, Neerja Modi School, Rajasthan Vidhyapeeth, Reliance Comotex, Noble Public School, Arunodaya Impex, Saras Dairy, Hotel Chunda Palace, Hotel The Pride, and Hotel Belmont had exceptional support.
