Designer healthy food and bakery products in Udaipur

Udaipur: Experiential Learning Unit - "Designer Healthy Foods and Bakery Products" and 'Center for Diet and Nutrition Advice' at the Department of Food Science and Nutrition, Community and Applied Sciences College, Udaipur, funded by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi, Were launched, On this occasion, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Narendra Singh Rathore SOC of the University. Members visited the "Designer Healthy Foods and Bakery Products" unit and the "Diet and Nutrition Advice Center." In his address, the vice-chancellor praised the work and described it as the achievement of the university. He congratulated all the staff of the university. Dr. Rathore emphasized teaching the skills of entrepreneurship by making more practical and skill development to the trainees and sent wishes for the smooth functioning of the unit in the future. Dr. Meenu Srivastava, Dean Community and Practical Science College, Udaipur, presented a welcome address to the guests and stated that the main objective of this unit is to develop skills and generate resources through practical training among the trainees. Dr. Sarla Lakhawat, Head of Department, Department of Food Science and Nutrition, Provided information on the web portal created to sell the products made. Dr. Lakhawat said that various designer healthy food and bakery products like bread, cake, Pastries, chocolates, sandwiches, different types of flour, etc., are made using healthy food on this unit ingredients. He also said that this unit would remain open 24 X 7 and the customer can choose the product of his choice anytime. During the program, the practical manual - Development of Designer Health Foods, Development of Bakery Products, and Menu Card was released. The members who contributed to the successful operation of this unit were Dr. Visakha Sharma, Yogeshwari, Kamlesh. Mukesh and Chokha were honored by the Vice-Chancellor. SOC of the University on this occasion. Members Dr. Ajay Kumar Sharma, Dr. S. K. Sharma, Dr. Dilip Singh, Dr. S. Dr. Jain, etc. were present.
