Fostering Creativity and Improved Learning Outcomesthe School of Management, Sir Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur under the visionary guidance of Prof.(Dr.) Padmakali Banerjee, President and Vice Chancellor conducted a workshop on Case Study Method: Teaching & Writing on 25 March, 2023. Prof. UmashankarVenkatesh, Professor Marketing & Director-Centre for Online Learning, Great Lakes Institute of Management, Gurgaon was the resource person for the session.
The workshop was split into two sessions, one for students and one for faculty members. During the student session, participants were asked to read a case study and use marketing strategies to solve the dilemma presented. The faculty session covered the definition and importance of cases in teaching and training, as well as the benefits of using them to impart knowledge. Additionally, the workshop provided information on case writing and its potential publication in well-known publishers such as Ivey Publication and Case Center. It enhanced the participants' knowledge and skills in using the case study method for teaching and writing.
The workshop concluded with acknowledgement from the Dean, School of Management, Prof. SadanandaPrusty, and appreciation for the expert who shared valuable insights during the session. Dr. Shweta Lalwani, Head School of Management coordinated the session
