N.S.S. celebrated "Farmer's Day" and organized an online seminar

The Unit of National Service Scheme of Agriculture College celebrated 'Farmer's Day' by planting saplings on the birthday of Chaudhary Charan Singh, the fifth Prime Minister of India.
On this occasion, the dean of the college, Dr. Dilip Singh, told the students that Singh was a son of the soil who, by implementing several schemes for the benefit of the farmers, contributed to the manifold increase in food production and reached this Position by setting an example of respect for the farmers.
B.N. University President Prof. NB Singh said that the farmer is the driving force of the country's economy and deserves to be honored. The purpose of this day is to promote awareness about the importance of farmers and their valuable contribution to the nation's overall social and economic development.
  N. s. s. In-charge Dr. PS Rao said that on this day, we have to take this oath that as a lifelong agriculture student, we will contribute to the service of farmers with our body, mind, and wealth. Agriculture College Subcommittee Chairman Devendra Singh Piplaj said that the national economy and the citizens of India are heavily dependent on the farmers to maintain the development of the country.
On this occasion, an online seminar was also organized by Dr. Kamal Singh Rathore on behalf of the University, in which many agricultural experts from different states of Bihar, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, and Karnataka participated. In which Dr. Jitendra Kumar Singh Neemdih, Dr. Abhay Nath Singh, Dr. Shriram Singh, Dr. Om Prakash Ji Mishra, Dr. Aniket, Dr. PS Rao and Dr. Swapnil Bharti shared their views.
It was urged that maximum respect should be given to the farmers, it should be given the status of industry to turn the youth towards agriculture, more technology should be used in agriculture, and attention should be paid to the productivity of coarse grains and fertilizer of the soil. Modern chemical fertilizers should not destroy power; more and more organic fertilizers and animals should be included in agriculture again. If the farmer is happy, then the country will be satisfied. The year 2023 has been declared the year of coarse grains by the United Nations; coarse grains such as maize, millet, barley, ragi, china, etc., have been used in India for centuries, which are also beneficial from the point of view of health.
There will be various events related to agriculture in the centenary year celebration programs of the institute.
On this occasion, Assistant Professor Dr. Hina Sahiwala, Dr. Bhavna Goswami, and Mr. Rajendrasinh Jhala & students also planted.
