MoU signed between Western Sydney University and MPUAT

Udaipur : Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur, Rajasthan, and University of Western Sydney, a memorandum of Understanding was signed on Tuesday evening in a workshop organized at the five-star Hotel Sagarika La in New Delhi. On this occasion, the Dean of the College of Technology and Engineering, Dr. P.K. Singh, and the Director of Planning and Monitoring, Dr. Mahesh Kothari, also signed as witnesses. Vice-Chancellor of MPUAT, Dr. Ajit Kumar Karnataka, describing this agreement as unprecedented, said that the deserving students of our university could get admission to the best educational institution in Australia. From Prof. Basant Maheshwari and Vice-Chancel lor of MPUAT, Dr. Aj i t Kumar Karnataka. There will be an opportunity for study and research in India. He called it beneficial for bilateral institutions, which will also allow the students of both countries to understand each other's culture and ethics. He said that the duration of this agreement would be five years, which will be further extended, and this agreement will come into force from this academic year itself. CTAE Dean Dr. P.K. Singh said he told Prof. Basant Maheshwari in constant correspondence and drafted a letter of Understanding. Under this agreement, Western Sydney University (WSU) will provide a scholarship of 30,000 Australian dollars per year during its stay in Australia to MPUAT students pursuing a Ph.D. in engineering. Fees, scholarships, project funding, or travel support will be provided to the student by MPUAT for that period. Project funds will also be provided to the same candidates. A minimum amount of INR 6,000 per year will be provided for high-cost projects and $6,000 for lowcost projects for contingencies. Dr. Singh informed that MPUAT would provide fees, scholarships, project funding, or travel assistance to the student to study in Australia based on competition for five seats under a dual degree program in Master of Science. Similarly, per the MoU between WSU and MPUAT, no WSU scholarship stipend will be awarded for a thesis year on five seats for a Master of Science degree in various disciplines of science. A tuition fee will be specified before admission with a 25% discount. WSU will provide the candidates with a maximum of $3000 in project funding. Additionally, a maximum of $6000 scholarship will also be provided by WSU to such students every year.
