MPUAT obtained ten patents in just one year

Udaipur:MaharanaPratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur, has acquiredtenpatents inthelast year, out of which four patents have been granted by the Government of India for various research and research works in the previous three months only. Dr. Na r e n d r a Si n g h Rathore, Vice-Chancellor of the university, congratulated the scientists concerned and told them that it is a matter of pride for the entire university family to get ten national and international level patents in one year. Vice-Chancellor Dr. N. S. Rathore said that if we use the waste material in construction,whichis thelargestindustry after agriculture, we can contribute significantly to saving the environment. He said that today the whole world is facing the problem of management of waste material and the threat of global warming, and India is also not untouched by it. In this direction, Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology's constituent College of Technology and Engineering'sCivilDepartment contributes to environmental protection by using waste material in civil construction. In this episode, getting nine patents by the Government of India and the Australian Government for the works done by the Civil Department is a significant achievement. The university will also get revenue from developing and commercializing these technologies. Dr.Trilok Gupta of the Civil Department has successfully constructed a road in the department using single-use plastic. Similarly, the West Tyre has been strengthened by using it in the paver block. Along with this, work has also been done in the direction of makingfloortilesoftheremaining ash after burning sugarcane. Inthisway,Dr.TrilokGupta ofthedepartmenthasobtained n i n e pa te n ts fr o m th e Government of India and Australia in the last year, out of which three have been received in the last three months only. Dr. Gupta said that he did this research work by D.S. T. New Delhi, D. S. T. Jaipur, and T. E.Q. I.P.M. H.R.D. It is done under various projects received from New Delhi. Similarly, Dr. SS Sharma, DeanofRajasthanAgricultural College,informedthatapatent had been obtained from the Government of India on the controlled release of urea nanoformulation by Dr. Vinod Saharan, associate professor oftheDepartmentofMolecular Biology and Biotechnology. With this discovery, urea and fertilizer will be appropriately used in agriculture, and due to a reduction in its wastage, the use of urea in small quantities will benefit the crop, and theexpenditureoffarmerswill be saved on fertilizers. The Dean of CTAE, Dr. P.K.singh. Said that the innovationof concreteroadsmade of plastic, paver blocks made ofbrickwastepowder,andfloor tilesofashleftafter sugarcane burning was beautiful. This innovation would be an unprecedented step towards environmentalprotection.Due to the remarkable work done for the patent by the scientists of the university, patents have also been granted by the Australiangovernment,which is a big achievement for our college. Due to these patents received by the university, I.C.A. R. New Delhi's ranking will also benefit. Through these patients, theuniversitywillgetanopportunity to earn income, and at the same time, the morale of all academic and non-academic staff will increase, and they will work with more energy
