Silver Medal in National Chess Competition

Udaipur: The father, who did tailoring work, encouraged the son and the school provided all the necessary facilities, including the coach. Vrishank Chauhan has become the national champion of chess.
Vrishank Chauhan, a class IX student of Vidya Bhavan Public School, Udaipur, has set a silver medal-winning record in the National Under-14 Open Online Chess Tournament organized by All India Chess Federation from 16 to June 18.
Vrishank scored nine and a half points in this competition of 11 cycles. Vrishank has achieved this success among 643 players.Ten years after Grandmaster Abhijeet won the gold, Vrishank Chauhan of Udaipur has given a big success to Rajasthan. The Chess Federation has announced a cash prize of twenty-one thousand rupees, and Rajasthan Chess Association has announced an award of ten thousand rupees for winning silver to Vrishank.
 School Principal Neerja Jain said that Vrishank will now represent India in the FIDE Online Cadet and Youth World Cup competition to be held in July. Vrishank is getting effective training under the guidance of coach Ayush Jain of the school.
