“Miles to go before I sleep.” This perhaps is the Mantra that MLSU VC Dr. Amarika Singh recites when he gets up in the morning. Backed by his firm determination, deep commitment, broad vision, creativity and concern for others, he has been able to work wonders in a short period of one year of his tenure as VC.
He has done a lot for his staff which he treats as his family. All promotions that were due have been made. He keeps interacting with his staff and the pensioners. All the teachers who were recruited in 2018 have been made permanent. Promotion has been given to those recruited in 2008. Work is in program for payment of arears. A camp for Covid Vaccination for the staff was organized. Those doing excellent work will be honoured and awarded. Mentoring project for teachers has also been launched. 
New departments have been started. Faculties have also been provided for those dozen departments that include engineering and architecture. It is also proposed to set up an academic staff college. A centre for excellence is coming up. Work is in progress for setting up corporate training and online exam centre. Military science course is also to be started. Mewar Shodhpeeth is also coming up. Forty crore is to be spent on science centre. The process of nomination of members in the Board of Management has been made more transparent.
Lot of work has been done for student welfare. For the first time, programmes for interaction of VC with students have been started. Reduction of 15% in fee during corona period, has been made, work on construction of library and seminar hall in commerce college has started, FAQ facility has been provided on website of the university for spot help of the students. Work is in programme on evaluation through online exam. Work on as acquisition of robot under artificial intelligence is in progress. MOU with multinational companies for employment have been signed. Free e-rickshaw facility for students hase been provided. There is a help desk for helping the students. Now there will be facility for revaluation in all the subjects. Three hundred NCC seats have been increased and construction of headquarters has begun. A parents association has also been formed.Five and half crore is to be spent on construction of the first modern Astroturf   hockey ground in the state and hundred bedded sports hotels.
Dr. Singh deep concern for the tribals has resulted in the lunching of Adiwasi Milap Yojna. Provision is being made for providing free Ph.D. facility for twenty seven tribal students of the nine tribal states. Five thousand saris and one and half lac masks were distributed among tribals. A fifty-room tribal family hostel is also being built as social responsibility. The Zoology Department of the university has adopted village Karakalaon of Jhallara Panchayat Samity for development. Social service works is going on Kailashpuri and village Hakdar under NSS.
Work is in progress on the building of a guest house named Mewar Sadan in Jaipur for teachers and students .
The University has bagged a place among the top two hundred places in NIRF ranking. MoUs were made with different institutions and organizations. 
A record 155 and 171 webinars were organized simultaneously. A record number of seminars were also organized. 
Programmes of extension and innovation were taken under Rusa projects. 
It is also proposed to build a Samvidhan Park Red Ribbon Club has also been started.MoUs have been signed with Brahmakumari Ishawariya Vishwavidhalaya, Dev Sanskriti  Vishwavidhalaya, Haridwar, Govind Guru Janjati Vishwavidhalaya Banswara and Kendriya Aushadi Anusandhan CDRI.
Shrinathji Excellence Centre is being established as a second cente in Rajsamand.It has also been decided to start a girls college in the name of Rani Padmini.Under the dynamic leadership of prof. Singh MLSU has not only soared to incredible heights but also heading for even greater achievements in future.
