Excessivse Centralization of Power Responsible for Escalation of Violence in Gaza

The dominance of USA on the United Nations and the concentration of power in one pole has resulted in the escalation of violence in Gaza. Since the disintegration of USSR the balance of power in the world has tilted towards US and so the US has acted unilaterally in Iran, Afganistan and in other countries also to promote its interest. The alliance of Israel and the United States is well established and there is no denying the fact that Israel’ aggression is supported by US.

The history of the Israeli–Palestinian conflict began with the establishment of the state of Israel in 1948.This conflict came from the intercommunal violence in Mandatory Palestine between Israelis and Arabs from 1920 and erupted into full-scale hostilities in the 1947–48 civil war. The conflict continues to the present day on various levels.

Israel and the Palestinians are mired in their worst conflict in years, in which Islamists have fired rockets and Israel has pounded the Gaza Strip with air strikes and artillery. Since conflict escalated on May 10, the death toll has risen to 198 in the crowded coastal enclave of Gaza, including at least 58 children, and to 10 in Israel, according to authorities on each side.
Israel's army says over 3,000 rockets have now been fired from Gaza.
The bombardment of Gaza has displaced 38,000 people and made 2,500 homeless, says the UN.

India's support for the Palestinian cause is an integral part of the nation's foreign policy. In 1974, India became the first Non-Arab State to recognize Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) as the sole and legitimate representative of the Palestinian people. Yasar Arafat, the leader of PLO was considered a friend of India and received the honour of the head of a  state. The members of BJP and RSS troll groups are showing pro-Israel stance simply because of their blind hatred of Islam as well as complete ignorance of the diplomatic history of India. This has been proved by what the Indian representative has said at the United nations. India on Sunday called for immediate de-escalation of the situation between Israel and Palestine at a United Nations Security Council meeting. The statement came as violence continues in the region that began this month following weeks-long tension between the two sides.

At the meeting, India’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations TS Tirumurti asked the two countries to immediately resume direct dialogue and said that New Delhi supports the two-state solution.
