Indira Gandhi Urban Employment Guarantee Scheme will start on June 12

Udaipur:  The District Level Committee of Indira Gandhi Urban Employment Guarantee Scheme meeting was organized on Saturday under the chairmanship of District Collector Tarachand Meena.
In the meeting, Member Secretary and Municipal Commissioner Himmat Singh Barahath presented detailed information about the work being done by the Corporation for wide publicity of the Indira Gandhi Urban Employment Guarantee Scheme. District Collector Meena directed the Corporation Commissioner Barahath to hold a meeting with all the councilors and trade unions of the Corporation to inform them about the scheme for every ordinary person in the city so that more and more needy could be benefited from this scheme.
 In the meeting, all the urban bodies of the Udaipur district also presented the action plan for their respective municipal area, which the committee approved.
In the meeting, the Conservator of Forests (North), Superintending Engineer Public Works Department, Superintending Engineer Municipal Corporation, Udaipur, Executive Engineer Municipal Corporation, Udaipur, Accounts Officer, Municipal Corporation, Udaipur, and officers of municipalities were present.
Mayor Deputy Mayor issued an appeal to the councilors:
Municipal Corporation Mayor Govind Singh Tak and Deputy Mayor Paras Singhvi have appealed to all the corporation councilors that Indira Gandhi Urban Employment Guarantee Scheme be started on June 12, 2022. Under this scheme, 100 days of employment will be provided to unemployed youth and women of different wards. For this work, wages of ₹ 259 per day will be payable under the unskilled category prescribed by the Labor Department. Wide publicity should be given to this scheme in all the ward areas of the Corporation so that maximum needy can be benefitted.
Under Indira Gandhi Urban Employment Guarantee Scheme, crematoriums, soil removal works in cemeteries, plantation works in public places, bush cleaning works in public areas, plantation works, garden cleaning and nursery related works, general community toilets Cleaning and maintenance works, cleaning of drains, work of removal of material resulting from construction demolition works in public places, divider railing wall, paint painting work in public places, etc. will be done.
The Corporation can apply:
The Corporation is inviting application forms from young men or women willing to do the work of the Indira Gandhi Urban Employment Guarantee Scheme. The application format has been made available to all the ward councilors, including the corporate office. More and more eligible persons should fill out their application and submit it to the Municipal Corporation office or send it to their ward councilor. Access to any specified location can get all kinds of information.
Promised in the budget announcement:
Budget Announcement Point No. of the year 2022-23 On the 6th, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot promised to provide 100 days of employment to the unemployed people residing in the urban areas of Rajasthan. An expenditure of about Rs 800 crore is proposed to implement this scheme.
There will be annual expenses. Members of 18 to 60 years of every family residing in an urban area will be eligible for this scheme. The job card will be issued by registering based on the Jan Aadhar card. All the needy can apply for job cards at Municipal Corporation or E-Mitra center.
