‘Break the silence, talk openly’ campaign in full swing

Udaipur: The first phase of 'Break the silence, openly talk' campaign being run in Udaipur district for girl child health and education has been successfully completed and 19 thousand 373 girls have been benefited so far. District collector Mrs. Anandi said that in the first phase, this campaignwas startedinJhadol,Kotra,Phalasia,andSaiada in July and in the campaign, health checkup of girl students was conducted in 280 schools. At present, the campaign is going on continuously and in the second phase also, the activities of the campaign are conducted daily in the schools of the four blocks. She informed that teams of the medical department have reached 24 schools for dialogue and health check on menstrual hygiene through this campaign. The team not only treated but advised 61 girls as well as 39 mothers how to keep healthy and wealthy. JyotiKakwani, the Nodal Officer of the campaign said that under the campaign, in the Sarada block, the hamlet of the peasants in Palodraa, Mahuwara, Dhavadia, Semari, Sallada ,Sadimgari,Kherwara,Senior UpadhyayaSanskrit school and Higher Secondary Badla and In Rishabhdev, programs will be organized in schools in Kojawada, PereraJagir, and Jalpaka. JyotiKakwani, the Nodal Officer of the campaign said that in this campaign, the medical interns of RNT Medical College, Geetanjali Medical College and Pacific Medical College and humanitarian voluntary organization have been special support. All medical interns are regularly visiting everyday schools of four blocks, through dialogue and queries from the girls on monthly sanitation through film and dialogue. During this campaign, two days before the education department and women and child development department, women of the village are being invited to the school for 'Break the silence' program so that mothers can also be familiar with this sensitive subject. So far about 6 thousand women have also benefitted from this campaign. Treatment with Dialogue: DM told that during the 'Break the silence, talk openly' the campaign, along with the dialogue, every school is also being ensured that every student gets a health check-up by the medical team of RBSKand the students whose hemoglobin according to the health protocol They are specially treated. So far, 189 out students examined have been found less than 8 and in total 17 girls have got less than 5 these girls have been referred to the MaharanaBhopal hospital. In the campaign, Informational Handbook has been distributed on 'My body, my talk' and 'Menstruation hygiene for juveniles'by theDepartmentofWomenandChildDevelopment
