Acharya Lokesh has taken Indian Culture to the World - Bihar Governor

A grant function was organised on the occasion when founder of Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti and eminent Jain Acharya Dr. Lokesh Muni left to Vienna, Austria to participate in the Advisory Forum meeting of World's prestigious Inter Religion and Inter Cultural platform KAICIID (King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue) as representative from Jain religion. In the function AcharyaLokesh was honoured with Mahakaruna Award 2017 by Mahabaudhi International.
Acharya Dr. Lokesh Muni addressing the function in presence of Governor of Bihar Shri Ram Nath Kovind, Member of Rajya Sabha Dr. Karan Singh, Internationally famous spiritual leader Lokesh Chandra, President of Mahabaudhi International Bhikhu Sanghsena, President of Parmarth Niketan Chidanand Saraswati Ji, President of All India Imam Umer Ahmed Iliyasi, Swami Dipankar Ji, President of Bhrigu Foundation Goswami Sushil Ji Maharaj, Chairman of Bangla Sahib Gurudwara Paramjit Singh Chandok said that Jain religion did not had representation in KAICIID (King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue) who are constantly working towards World Peace, inter religion and inter cultural harmony. Being part of it has not only enhanced the role of Jain religion but also the role of ancient Indian Culture.
Acharya Lokesh said that in the in the KAICIID Advisory Board meeting to be held in the first week of February in Vienna, Austria discussion on many international issues will be held. KAICIID has been working from past years with many governments, social, religious and cultural organisations towards preserving religious and cultural diversity. The Centre strives to foster interreligious dialogue and to strengthen the foundations of citizenship. KAICIID desires to enhance the spirit of moderation, and to establish purposeful and sincere dialogue founded upon the principles of coexistence, mutual understanding and cooperation.
Religious leaders on the occasion expressed hope that Acharya Lokesh through this platform will give immense contribution in establishing world peace and harmony. Acharya Lokesh has been constantly making efforts to take Indian Culture and Jain religion to different parts of the society by addressing prestigious platforms like Parliament of World Religions, United Nations, International Yoga Day, Universal Peace Federation, Peace and Development seminar. They said that Acharya Lokesh as Ambassador of Peace will give the message of world peace and harmony to different communities from the platform of KAICIID.
On the occasion Governor of Bihar Shri Ram Nath Kovind said that India has an ancient culture of Unity in Diversity which the world needs today. He expressed hope that through KAICIID this culture will be taken to the world masses. He said that Acharya Lokesh had taken India Culture in different parts of the world.
The KAICIID Advisory Forum is the fourth principal organ of the KAICIID Dialogue Centre - alongside the Council of Parties, the Board of Directors and the Secretariat. Members of the Advisory Forum act in an individual and independent capacity. Council of Parties include Republic of Austria, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kingdom of Spain and The Holy See. Board of Directors include Dr. Hamad Al-Majed, His Excellency Bishop Miguel Ayuso, His Eminence Metropolitan Emmanuel, Dr. Sayyed Ataollah Mohajerani, The Reverend Kosho Niwano, Reverend Mark Poulson, Swami Agnivesh and Dr. Mohammad Sammak. In the meeting of KAICIID Advisory Forum religious leaders, social leaders and philosophers from different parts of the world will come together and discuss ways to conserve world's religions and culture and also discuss welfare and upliftment of humanity. They will give their advice and suggestions to KAICIID.
