Udaipur: All India New Year Celebration Committee along with Municipal Corporation will welcome the Hindu New Year (Nav Samvat). On this occasion, the citizens will be felicitated
at the crossings. Municipal mayor Chandrasingh Kothari, national secretary of the All
India New Year Celebration Committee Dr Pradeep Kumawat said that this time, with a view to create awareness among women and to get a large number of women together for Triveni Sangam and Sapta Jyotiyatra, a women awareness march has been initiated. The festival will be inaugurated on 19th March adancecompetition at Fatah Sagar Paal.In this program, a select group of Mewar will be competing against each other and the winners will be awarded. Turban competition will be held only for children below the age of 12 years. On this occasion at 5:30 in the evening, a special tribute will be given to those auto drivers who have always complied with the rules of the road and have contributed to
the society from time to time and set examples. On the 2nd day of the program,“Jyoti Kalash Sanskriti Chetna Yatra” will be the main attraction. After the huge success of last year, “Jyoti Kalash Chetna Yatra” will start from three different locations.The 1st march will leave from Nathdwara to GangaurGhat, 2nd march will leave from Baijnath MahadevSisarma to GangaurGhat and the 3rd from Bohra Ganesh Jito GangaurGhat. These three will meet in Hathipol at 6:30m in the evening. In addition, seven holy lights will meet at Jagdish Temple. All vahanas will be immersed in here and Jyoti Kalash Yatra will be started which will end at GangaurGhat. Bidding Farewell to 2071 At Gangaur Ghat On the banks of Rajghat of the famous Lake Pichola of Udaipur, the program “Vida 2071” will be organized and there will be grand fireworks, deepdaan, Ganga aarti and Varun Pujan at GangaurGhat.
