RBSE humanities result: Girls outperform boys

AJMER: The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) announced its senior secondary (Class 12) humanities (arts) stream examination results Saturday. With a pass percentage of 91.35, girls outshone the boys (87.04% ). State education minister Vasudev Devnani released the result at RBSE office premises in Ajmer.
According to the board, there were 5,86,312 students registered for the Class 12 humanities board examination in which 3 ,14,832 are boys and 2,71,480 are girls. Earlier the board had declared the result of Class 12 science and commerce on May 15. There will be no merit list for Class 12 humanities as the board has from this year decided on not releasing a list. The board will declare the names of the three top scoring students in each stream probably in the month of October to help them secure the benefit of scholarships and to honour them at the next convocation. "The pass percentage has registered a gradual increase over the last three years indicating that there has been an improvement in the education at government schools," he said.
"Last year, 88.23% students had cleared the exams. The figure has gone up by 3 % and overall pass percentage is 91.16."
The private schools have registered an increase of .74 per cent.
