At All Cost Lakes Must Remain Pollution Free - Collector Udaipur: In order to keep the pollution-free of Udaipur, the lake development authority will take effective action, keeping strict vigil over the establishments running hotels, restaurants and commercial activities.
Under the chairmanship of district collector Rohit Gupta, in a meeting of the lake development authority held on Tuesday, there was an intense discussion on the participation of respective departments regarding keeping the lakes and river clean and pollution free.
The collector said that in any way effective action would be taken at every level to prevent wastewater, dirty water or pollution causing substances. Strict action should be taken against the culprits keeping a close watch on operated business activities about hotels, restaurants and lakes. He told the officials that they should systematically settle the concrete waste of hotels on the lake shore, ensure its constant monitoring.
Pollution not spread from boats
The Collector said that pollution from the boats operated in the lakes would not be spread, for this their operations should be based on solar, LPG or CNG. Simultaneously, monitoring their regular, fitness checks and non-acceptance boat operations. Be done by department concern Water quality monitoring is need of hour.
Collector said that quality of the water of the lake, CCTV cameras will be monitored continuously. He said that CCTV cameras are proposed to be installed in the wake of the city traffic system and protective measures along with the lakes.
The help of the general public will be taken to prevent the sewerage effectively in the city lakes. For this, the common citizens will be able to complain against the action Udaipur. Such awareness will be given as a reward of 100 rupees.The Collector asked the UIT to make a proposal to keep the clean pond of the big pond free of pollution free. In the meeting, the District Collector gave instructions to the Forest Department and Fisheries Department to take appropriate steps for the protection of Mahasir fish in the reservoirs.
