State Chief Minister and Tourism Minister – Guests of the Evening Announcing the opening ceremonyofthefestival,Chief Minister asserted that the role ofBollywoodhasalwaysbeen i m p o rta n t, a n d J a i p u r InternationalFilmFestivalhas given further expansion to the cinema. He welcomed the guests warmly and assured that JIFFwouldcontinuetoget all possible support from the government. Vishwendra Singh congratulated everyone beyond the Festival and conveyed warm wishes. Film Personalities added grace to the Program At the same time, the famous faces of the cinema worldattendedtheeveningtoo. Prem Chopra, Padma Shri Shaji N. Karun, Film writer Abbas Tyrewala, President of the Indian Motion Pictures ProducersAssociationofIndia and well-known producer T.P. Agrawal and Australian filmmaker Andrew Vial were present. Filmmakers from 25 countries including Sri Lanka, Japan,USA,UK,China,Japan, andFrancebecamepartofthis very special evening. When the famous actor Prem Chopra from the stage spoke his famous dialogue Prem Naam Hai Mera, Prem Chopra,theaudienceenjoyed it with loud applause. It was evident from the enthusiasm of the fans that even after seeing him after such long, audience still love him. Chopra thanked the festival and said that the audience make an actorsuccessful.Thesearethe fans, who have given him so much love till now. JIFF Founder Director Hanu Roj said that the culture of films has reached to each and every corner of the world throughtheJaipurInternational Film Festival. Hanu asserted that JIFF is coming with many new projects in the coming years. Karun honoured with – JIFF 2020 Outstanding Lifetime Achievement Award PadmaShriShajiN.Karun wa s h o n o u r e d wi th - Ou ts ta n d i n g L i fe ti m e Achievement Award by JIFF 2020. Karun is a well known Fi l m Dir e c to r a n d Cinematographer. He has been the Chairman of Kerala Sta te Fi l m Ac a d e m y. Significantly, this academy is India's first Film and TV academy.At the same time, he has also been the Executive Chairman of the International Film Festival of Kerala from 1998 to 2001 and is currently the Chairman of Kerala State Fi l m De v e l o p m e n t Corporation. Two very special opening films were screened as Opening Films. The documentary film from USA, AmericanMirror:Intimationsof Immortality and the Film Chidi -Balla,describingRajasthan's heritage were shown. It is a matter of pride and joy for the people of Rajasthan to see Rajasthan's film as Opening Film of the Festival. The evening was decorated with Song and Dance Performances Cultural programs were lit in the evening. Renowned singer Veena Modani embellished the Bollywood and folk songs in her melodious tone.
