Datsun redi-Go 1.0 launched at Rs 3.57 lakh Udaipur: Nissan India -Udaipur authorized dealer released its much-awaited vehicle Dustan Ready Go 1.0 liter version 2 variant at its showroom in Madri Industrial Area Japanese carmaker Datsun -- owned by Nissan -- has launched the redi-Go1.0 at Rs 3.57 lakh (ex-showroom). It is a more powerful and torquey version of the standard redi-Go, courtesy a larger 1.0-litre engine.
Hemendra Pawar, General Manager, Nidhi Kamal Nissan, told in an unveiling press conference, car is available in two variant options -- T(O) and S - with the price going up to Rs 3.72 lakh (ex-showroom). Five colour options have been made available including red, silver, lime, grey and white.
The new model is aimed at further etching a share in the small cars market which is dominated by the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10.
Already sharing the platform and the small 800cc engine with its French cousin, the Datsun redi-Go now also shares the 1,000cc SCe motor with the Renault Kwid. However, it is said to get a new technology, called i-SAT (intelligent Spark Automated Technology).
The bigger version of the three-cylinder will produce 68PS of power at 5,500rpm and delivers a peak torque of 91Nm at 4,250rpm.
Looking at the figures claimed by the 800cc version, the power output is higher by 14PS and 19Nm more torque available at almost same rev range. The company claims that the new motor delivers a fuel economy of 22.5kmpl.
The car has been launched with optional 'CARE' packages for three to five years unlimited kilometre warranty and roadside assistance among the other benefits.
