Udaipur: Lions Club Udaipur Mewar organised a musical housie on Sunday at Lok Kala Mandal to help raise funds for ration for people battling with starvation. The funds collected from this program will go to relief of poor people in the form of ration kits. Club President Vijay Jain said that in its centenary year, Lions Club International has launched a campaign to get food to millions of poor people. Lions Mewar Charitable Trust and Lions club Udaipur Mewar, playing their part to get food to helpless people have organized a grand musical housie and cultural evening.
Under Hunger Prevention Project, they have resolved to get 1000 ration kits to the poor out of which, 300 kits have already been distributed, and the rest of the kits will be made after the funds that will be collected after this event.

Lion Vijay Jain informed that the kit distributed by the club will include 10 kg wheat flour, 3 kg pulses, 3 kg rice, 2 kg sugar along with salt, chili, oil and other edibles. To make this musical housie even entertaining, Ahmedabad's renowned orchestra party and Dubai's Tanoura dancer performed live. The winners of the housie has given a 40" LED as the first prize, Cube ac as the second and fully automatic washing machine as the third prize. Apart from this, a refrigerator, microwave oven, 3 geyser and a number of consolation prizes distributed on spot.
