Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has expressed grave concern over the untimely death of ten infants at JK Lon Mother and Child Hospital in Kota, Rajasthan during the past two days.
In a tweet, Mr Birla urged Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot to act sensitively and promptly on the spate of children's death in the state. According to a report by the Superintendent of JK Lon Hospital, where all the deaths occurred, 77 children died this month itself, while a total of 940 infants died this year.
